At Tree Management Co., we work in collaboration with community partners to develop tree and urban forest plans, strategies, policies, procedures, and outreach materials. We help organizations with planning and policy development that values urban forests and associated ecosystem benefits. Our comprehensive background in arboriculture and urban forestry planning, policy, and management informs our approach to plan for urban forests to meet increasing demands for tree benefits such as shading, stormwater mitigation, air quality improvement, as well as cultural benefits that improve human health and well-being. We promote resilient urban forests with green infrastructure that is well-planned within the local context, as well as in relation to the surrounding municipalities, region, and watershed.
Since 2006, Laura Ralph has been operating with a commitment to continually learning how best to steward trees and the urban forest to promote the functionality, connectivity, and biodiversity required for healthy resilient urban forests and communities. Laura is an experienced arborist who promotes best management practices and a balance between tree benefits and risk – ISA Certified since 2007 and a qualified tree risk assessor (TRAQ) since 2014. Originally offering ecological horticulture and arboriculture services: maintenance, restoration, and installation, along with public education, Laura has trained and led volunteers in public land restoration efforts, as well as subcontractors for private land care. In 2015, Laura started working as a consulting arborist and has also worked for municipalities in the implementation and administration of urban forest plans and policies.
We have prepared reports, management plans, policy, specifications, and resources for a broad range of assignments and clients (public and private). We are eager to use our urban forestry, arboriculture, and environmental expertise to help make sure that organizations and communities achieve their visions for the urban forest.
